DUTIES
- Provide front line customer service via email and phone

Office/Shop Assistant

Woodworker
Our new Guitar Production Associate will work in many aspects of our guitar production operation. This individual will grade, saw, glue, route, sand, drill, and finish wood. We use computer-controlled routers (CNC), as well as various power and hand tools to craft a variety of guitar bodies and necks for our own guitars as well as contract work for various small and large builders as an OEM.
THE JOB:
- Measure and defect cut wood to length.
- Glue up wood in preparation for routing
- Work with saws, router, planer, sanders.
- Finish sanding using power and hand sanding.
- Drilling
- Boxing and packing materials for delivery.
- Potentially cross train in many parts of production from receiving and prepping raw materials, circuit assembly, developing and managing CAD/CAM, and customer service.
- Keep the shop and equipment clean – sorry, there has to be some boring stuff, too.
YOUR SKILLS:
- 1 year+ wood working experience
- Experience in the safe use and care for various wood working tools, including table saw, chop saw, jointers, planners, sanders, routers, drills.
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness and accuracy.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted / 100+lbs team assisted
- Able to be on your feet for the shift.
- Can-do attitude and a take ownership approach to problems and procedures.
- Extra credit if you can solder and understand basic circuit schematics
- Extra credit if you have built and maintained guitars or other instruments in the past
- HS/GED, College degree preferred

CNC Programmer + Shop Manager
You will serve as our Shop/Production Manager and a member of our CAD/design team. You will plan, schedule, and manage execution of our production. You will manage our small shop staff. You will develop and apply best practices to help us improve manufacturing throughput and profit margins. As a designer, you will work with our lead luthier to support various OEM client projects to develop their designs for prototyping and manufacturing.
Tasks & Responsibilities: Production
- Coordinate External and Internal Production
- Develop innovative new manufacturing tools and techniques
- Assist in production as needed. This includes CNC-related work, sanding, materials preparation, cleaning, etc.
- Track multiple projects to ensure delivery commitments are met
- Run a daily “stand up” meeting to review new and expedited parts
- Identify and reduce capacity constraints and improve production throughput and latency
- Manage our small production team
- Manage the shop: safety, organization, cleanliness
- Manage production materials inventory and coordinate purchasing with purchasing manager
Tasks & Responsibilities: CAD / Design
- Delight our OEM clients with your design, prototype, and production expertise
- Produce 2D and 3D models of various guitar and bass bodies and necks using Rhino3D
- Produce CAM code from Rhino3D using RhinoCAM software
- Prototype new designs in the shop
- Develop innovative new products for retail or wholesale
- Track multiple projects to ensure delivery commitments are met
- Use various software tools to track projects and communicate status
