Limited Warranty And Returns

It is easy to blame a part, a design issue, or a manufacturing issue for a problem in assembling your kit. Before you conclude that a part may be bad, thoroughly check your work and read the manuals carefully. Almost all components have reached very high reliability levels. On the rare occasions a bad component may slip through the manufacturing and our quality control process. All our kit parts are warranted to be free from defects for a full ninety (90) days from the date of purchase. Defective parts will be replaced promptly at our expense. If you suspect a part is defective, please mail it to us for testing and replacement. If instructed to do so send only the defective part or parts, not the whole kit. The part/parts or kit MUST be returned to us using an RMA and in “as-new” condition. Please be aware that testing can usually determine if the part was truly defective or damaged by assembly or usage. Don’t be afraid to tell us that you ‘screwed-up’, we all make mistakes and in most cases, replacement parts are not expensive. Some problems may require the return of the entire kit. Please call or email before sending components as it may be necessary to return the entire kit, and you must have an RMA to return anything. To request an RMA, please contact us by email, phone or the contact us page of this website.

Missing parts

Before assuming a part is incorrect or missing, please check the parts listing and all the parts carefully. Often, careful reading of the assembly manual will solve a mysterious missing or incorrect part problem. Sometimes we substitute parts due to availability. These changes are usually noted in the documentation (or in rare instances in an extra piece of paper that we would include in the box). Our guitar kits are packed very carefully with pride. If you believe we sent the wrong part or left out a part clearly indicated in your documentation, please write, email, or call us with information on the part you need. You can also use the “contact us” page on this web site.

Warranty and Returns

We take great pride in the products that we provide and we stand behind them. Alloy Guitars provides a limited warranty and return policy on all products we sell. Our products can be returned, repaired, or replaced as follows:

0-30 days If the product or component of the product fails to match ordered specifications or fails due to material or workmanship a full refund or replacement will be provided upon return of the product or component of the product that is failing. The product or component of the product can not be altered or even partially assembled in order to receive a full refund. A restocking fee of up to 20% may be charged.

30-60 days In the event of failure due to material or workmanship we will repair or replace the defective product or component upon the return of the defective product or component. Products returned for refund during this period will incur a 50% restocking fee and must be as-new (unassembled, undamaged, unmodified, unfinished, etc.).

This warranty shall be limited to refunding, repairing, or replacing any part which we determine, at our sole discretion, to be defective. Shipping costs from you back to us are your responsibility. However, we will pay for the ground shipping costs to return the product to you. We are not responsible for Customs, Duties, VAT or any other taxes or fees.

Be sure to understand the components and details about products that you are ordering. When you receive your order, please make sure you are completely satisfied that it will meet your needs before assembly or modifying it in any way. If you alter a kit in any way, including drilling, finishing, assembly, soldering, etc., the kit may no longer be covered under our warranty.

When inserting a neck into a body DO NOT slide the neck in from the end of the neck pocket. Instead, slide the neck in down from the top. We document this with many pictures in the instruction manuals available for every model guitar that we sell. If you damage the neck or body by improperly inserting the neck, THE DAMAGE WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

ALLOY GUITARS MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, EXCEPT THAT OF TITLE, AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED.

All returns must be accompanied by an RMA number, a copy of your receipt, and must be shipped postage prepaid to us. Please contact us for an RMA and shipping information.
